Maybe You’re a Rich Man

“Maybe You’re a Rich Man” è un silent comic - (TvTropes “Silent is Golden”) - ovvero un fumetto senza parole, incentrato sul tema della ricchezza. L’ho realizzato in occasione di una competizione promossa dal Fumetto Festival di Lucerna, in Svizzera, il cui tema era proprio: "Rich". Purtroppo la mia storia non è stata selezionata tra i finalisti… ma non per questo mi fermo. Anzi, voglio continuare a sperimentare le mie idee in questa modalità, perché credo davvero che comunicare senza parole sia una delle forme più pure e potenti di storytelling - e, in fondo, di creatività umana - L’ho sempre pensato, e credo di essere portato a comunicare così (My Friend is a Killer e Dark Humor Comics ne sono un esempio). Dire tutto senza dire niente: per me è una cosa pazzesca (e non sono l’unico a pensarla così!). Qui sotto trovate il mio fumetto. “Maybe You’re a Rich Man” is a silent comic - (TvTropes “Silent is Golden”) - a wordless story focused on the theme of wealth. I created it for a comics competition organized by the Fumetto Festival in Lucerne, Switzerland, where the theme was exactly that: “Rich”. Unfortunately, my story wasn’t selected among the finalists… but that won’t stop me. In fact, I want to keep exploring this kind of storytelling, because I truly believe that communicating without words is one of the purest and most powerful forms of storytelling - and, ultimately, of human creativity. I’ve always felt this way, and I think I’m naturally inclined to express myself like this (My Friend is a Killer e Dark Humor Comics are good examples). Saying everything without saying a word: to me, that’s just mind-blowing (and I’m not the only one who thinks this!). You’ll find the comic below. Just a heads-up: it’s not suitable for children - it contains scenes of sex, drugs, and a bit of violence.
